Building
The Building Group has recently overseen major work of reconstruction to our church and halls.  This included a new pavement-level doorway, levelling of the church floor and removal of the pews, installation of a disabled lift and toilet, new underfloor heating, installation of new steel beams, new kitchen and complete redecoration of church and hall.  We now have a modern building with comfortable seating and are actively seeking new uses which will make the church more widely known and available to the local community.

History

Children and Young People

This group provides our children and young people with a relevant programme of activities which allows them to develop their faith in a fun, friendly and safe environment. It is responsible for providing trained leadership with up-to-date thinking. The requirements of disabled/special needs children and the safety of all our children and young people are especially important.

On Sunday mornings we have a Crèche, a Sunday School and Young Teenagers Group. On alternate Sunday evenings a Young People’s Group meets. Activities are provided from time to time on Saturdays, with the occasional adventure weekend.

Worship Planning

This core group is responsible for arranging and developing all aspects of our worship and music and assists all those who are leading Sunday worship and any special services. It is particularly keen to encourage and support those who have the gift of music. Once a month we have a young people’s band which makes a valued contribution to our worship.

Pastoral Care and Home Groups

This group looks after Home Groups, fellowship/social events, and Pastoral care/Visits.

Finance and Stewardship
God's purpose can only be fulfilled when the church uses to the utmost the abilities and resources of all of its people. This group encourages church members to consider carefully their stewardship of money, possessions and talents and to support, not only our own church and mission, but other charitable and deserving causes elsewhere.

Mission

Our Mission Core Group enables the fellowship to develop its Christian life, witness and prayer. It is responsible for evangelism, local city centre outreach, and overseas mission. It also arranges Alpha and similar courses. The church is an active supporter of the Baptist Missionary Society, is linked with Lynne Brown of the BMS who develops pre-school activities in Angola and also supports the work of Pastor Krupa Emmanuel of the Anurag Ministries amongst the children in Mumbai, India.
