Crown Terrace Baptist Church, begun
in 1839, was the first Baptist
Church in Aberdeen. We are located
in the heart of the City and the
surrounding area includes many
licensed premises, night clubs,
offices, shops and a large number of
recently built flats.
This is our mission field!
Our building has been
extensively renovated to provide a
main church area that is accessible
to all and suitable for many uses.
We hope that this will help fulfil
the church’s vision to be ‘the
visible presence of Christ in the
City centre’.
Our facilities
include a
disabled toile
and a lift. We are in the process
of initiating new, fresh programmes
in our mission to the city centre.
Our new pastor,
Mr Gary Smith,
who has been the
Young People's
Adviser with the
Baptist Union of
Scotland was
formally
inducted to the
pastorate on
Sunday 15
November. We
look forward
with
anticipation to
the next chapter
in the church's
life.
